Franchise Site Selection & Territory Planning

Business Development Alliance Australia’s premier Franchise Consultancy is excited to present the next Franchise Site Selection and Territory Planning Workshop.

Peter Buckingham is the Managing Director of Spectrum Analysis Australia Pty Ltd, the leading company in assisting clients in the area of mapping, site selection, territory planning and analysis. Following 20 years in the oil industry, including 2 years in Perth, Peter has bought to Franchising far more robust processes to make better business decisions.

Why is site selection so important?

The cost to Franchisors and Franchisees of the incorrect site can be colossal.

Franchisors can suffer by reduced royalty income, missed opportunities for additional franchisees, customer complaints and market-share lost to competitors.  With average start-up costs for service and retail franchises increasing every year, the importance of a robust site selection methodology is essential.

Research into causes of franchise disputes shows that up to a third of all disputes are caused by misrepresentation and site or territory issues. By applying a proper site selection methodology, Franchisors can substantially improve the prospects of their new outlets, and minimise the potential for damaging conflict.
