A Distributorship is normally set up between a manufacturer and a local business to distribute products in their locality. In other words a simple Vendor and Purchaser Agreement between two legally independent parties with the Vendor making a profit from the sale to the Distributor. The Distributor in turn, making profits from the sale of products. The Purchaser receives no support from the Vendor, just the ability to stock and sell the products. For example the Purchaser would leave all the marketing and merchandising to the Vendor.
