BDA/Finn Franchise Brokers FCA WA Excellence in Franchising Awards 2014 winners announcedAugust 5, 2014
On the 1st of August 2014, the Western Australian franchising community came together at the BDA/Finn Franchise Brokers FCA WA Excellence in Franchising Awards 2014 to honour the state’s very best in the industry.
Proudly sponsored by Business Development Alliance (BDA) and Finn Franchise Brokers and held at the Parmelia Hilton winners included Karen Walsh from Salon Express who was honoured as the Multi-Unit Franchisee of the Year, Jim Hawley from Car Care who took home the Franchisee of the Year – less than two staff award, Alistair Borg and John Wilmot from The Cheesecake Shop who took home the Franchisee of the Year – more than two staff award and Ryan Potts from The Cheesecake Shop who was honoured as Field Manager of the year.
Of the awards night, BDA’s Director Mark Fernandez said “it was a fantastic night to showcase the hardworking franchising community of Western Australia and the awards were well deserved.”
Multi-Unit Franchisee of the Year, Karen Walsh said of making the finals “Even if I didn’t win tonight, becoming a finalist was a huge honour, but entering has also made me look at my business in a whole new light. I now know where I can improve and where I am succeeding.”
Alistair Borg and John Wilmot, Franchisee of the Year – more than two staff award winners commented on the work ethic of their staff: “We actually invited two of our staff here tonight, but we’re incredibly busy at the moment due to a promotion and they chose to stay back and make sure everything was done. That really typifies what our team is like,” they said.”
Jim Hawley, Franchisee of the Year – less than two staff award winner commented on his decision to choose the Car Care franchise system : “I picked Car Care because you can work on your own, but you can also integrate with a group of other franchisees so you can use each other’s knowledge to help you grow and go further.”
“Our franchisees open up their businesses and are incredibly welcoming to me. When they listen to me and take things on board, it motivates me to be the best I can for them,” said Ryan Potts, Field Manager of the Year, who looks after all the 19 Western Australian franchisees of The Cheesecake Shop.
A great time was had by all amongst the glitz and the glamour of the night and the winners will be going to the National MYOB FCA Excellence in Franchising Awards 2014 at Sydney Olympic Park on the 28th October.This entry was posted in Events, Franchising.
